  • Tripods and Ball Heads by Thom Hogan - The author makes an argument for buying an expensive high-quality tripod before wasting money on a cheap setup. I can see his point but nevertheless, the suggestions are far above my budget limit.

Flipbooks

JPG Magazine called for illustrators to make flipbooks to be printed around the page numbers in their magazine. Flipbooks? These old-fashioned sequences of pictures we used to draw at the edges of our textbooks during class way, way back in school? Yes. And of course the results are much more sophisticated and entertaining than my own attempts in this art. Take a look at the winners: here and here.
